A product IT company ran on Power BI, spreadsheets and a task tracker. We replaced the morning hunt across five places with one hub and a board per department. Real numbers stay under NDA, so the same system is shown here on Matrix, a fictional company.

Situation

Five places to open before the first decision

Daily metrics in Power BI, plan and fact in spreadsheets, tasks in the tracker, VIP and call results in exports. Every morning someone merged them by hand, and the picture was already a day old.

Reports built for analysts, not for owners

What we built

A hub on top, a board per department under it

One goal for the month, the gap to it, and the team that can close it. Each department got its own board: product, payments, VIP, retention, call center, task tracker, app tracking and finance.

The boards read exports and tables the company already had. On top sits a short daily summary of what changed and why. Nobody has to learn a new BI tool.
